EASTER AT KBH

When I think of Easter, what immediately pops into my mind are Easter eggs, Easter egg hunts, bunnies, and church services. When I woke up, I thought to myself, “Hmm, what can I do today?” I glanced around the room and realized that I was still at the Ka’anapali Beach Hotel and their Easter Brunch was at the top of the list.

The Ka’anapali Beach Hotel is known for many things; they’re an incredible oceanfront property in the lively area of Ka’anapali. They have a wonderful ambience due to their great staff and is considered Hawaii’s most Hawaiian hotel. With all the great things that the KBH has, I personally know them for having bar none the best Easter buffet and set up on the island.

After checking out of our room, we decided to take a look around to see what was in store for us. The KBH crew had everything ready to go; they brought in a mobile aquarium thru via The Maui Ocean Center, they had a small petting zoo with goats, bunnies, ducks, chickens, and chicks. They also had designated areas for an Easter egg hunt for different age categories, an egg coloring contest, face painting, people dressed as Easter egg bunnies for picture taking, live performers with hula dancing, and a ton of crafts that were in their lobby, and that’s not even their crème de la crème, their Easter Brunch Buffet. I was so impressed I’m definitely going to be telling our General Manager what KBH had. We tried to capitalize by taking some pictures around their property but since Anabelle and I were hungry we just decided to see if we can get a table.

Anabelle checked us in and we were seated almost immediately. Our butts didn’t hit the chair before we jetted through the crowds of people and attacked the buffet lines with reckless abandon. I went for a ton of small portions of a variety of offerings while Anabelle came back with 2 plates filled with nothing but seafood, which she adores. We dined and feasted and went back for seconds and thirds while people watching, seeing old friends with their families, and listening to the many musicians that were there. There were a lot of hula dancers that were performing throughout the venue. The emcee for the day was well known local personality, Alaka’i Paleka. She was giving away a ton of prizes which a ton of tourists were going crazy over; so much so a lady behind us was getting really carried away. The food was so good though that we weren’t fazed, we simply carried on. There were so many options laid out, we only were able to feast on 1/3 of what was there. With the amount of food that we had in us, it was a harsh reality that we still had to go to a family get together right after. Burp!

It was a great start to our Easter. The only thing we needed for the rest of the day was a bed and an a/c. We enjoyed every moment at KBH from check in to check out. They never let us down with their service and ambience. I hope next time our entire family will be able to make it there for their Easter brunch. Thank you Ka’anapali Beach Hotel for the 10 pound you added onto me. No, really, thank you.
