GOOD DEED - TOMMY

A few days ago I was at a meeting that I try to frequent. The meeting is sort of a round robin and whoever wants to chime in is always welcomed to. To my side was a gentleman named Tommy. Though we’ve never had an in depth conversation, Tommy is a good guy and I love his input to our meetings. I may not always agree with him, but he always has such great insight. On this particular day Tommy again decided to chime in. As he shared his pearls of wisdom, he sat there sipping his Starbucks. His left foot was over his right knee and bounced constantly. After listening to him and watching him, I noticed he had $70 about to drop out of his pocket. He didn’t speak too long but before he was done, his money dropped out. I didn’t want to interrupt his speaking so I sat there, waiting. As soon as he was done, I pointed it out to him. He had absolutely no idea his money dropped out but was very appreciative. Hopefully his positive mannerisms will rub off on me. Based on that moment, some of it already did.
